" InfoPro Corporation Supports Wounded Warriors "

Lori Martin, InfoPro employee, is among the airport crowd welcoming Marines, soldiers, spouses.
It's no surprise that troops miss out on things after they're wounded on the battlefield. It is surprising how soon it starts.
"Most of these guys come back on hospital aircraft," Dave Johnson said Friday of the "Wounded Warriors" his group is hosting here.
"They're taken by military ambulance to a military hospital," Johnson continued. "And when they're well enough to come home, they get on a plane. They never get the heroes' welcome home with their units
they units they deployed with."
Those heroes' welcomes are one thing people think America is getting right this war. Thanks to Johnson and fellow volunteers in the Semper Fi Community Task Force, the wounded are getting it, too.
The task force was just warming up with Friday's flag-waving, music-playing, hug-and-holler fest at Huntsville International Airport and the ride into town escorted by police and Patriot Guard motorcycles.
That kicked off "Heroes Weekend" for about two dozen young Marines and soldiers and their spouses.
Most are in their early 20s, and they blinked shyly at the cheering airport crowd. One Marine's welcome cigar seemed almost as big as him as he puffed outside the
Embassy Suites headquarters hotel.
The free vacation is paid for by donations. No public money is involved.
Today, the Marines will be guests of honor at the Huntsville Track Club's "Heroes Run," and some will take part.
It'll be dress attire for tonight's Marine Corps Birthday Ball, casual wear for the ventriloquist Jeff Dunham's concert Sunday night, and whatever feels good for the guided bass-fishing trip on
Lake Guntersville.
Monday night, Madison Christian Church hosts a steak dinner, and Tuesday it's the Veterans Day parade.
Judging by their smiles, the guys and their wives couldn't wait to get started. Speaking of their wives, a full day of pampering is scheduled for them Monday courtesy of Bridge Street Town Centre.
Does it all make a difference? One young Marine honored last year said Huntsville's welcome was a thousand times better than his own hometown's.
There, a flight attendant helped him into a wheelchair, took him though a back door to the terminal and said good-bye. He called a cab to get home.
The "Wounded Warriors Weekend" aims higher than that.
